But journal articles, a primary way science is communicated in academia, are a different format to newspaper articles or blogs and require a level of skill and undoubtedly a greater amount of patience. Here Jennifer Raff has prepared a helpful guide for non-scientists on how to read a scientific paper. These steps and tips will be useful to anyone interested in the presentation of scientific findings and raise important points for scientists to consider with their own writing practice. This should interest all librarians in medical and health field. Also useful to teachers trainers and academics and researchers. One place to search all learning resources. The National Library of Medicine has launched a new Learning Resources Database <https://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/mj16/mj16_learning_resources.html>. "These materials include videos, tutorials, and handouts on products such as PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, Unified Medical Language System, and many more. Now you can find resources using one interface rather than searching different areas of the NLM Web site. An API is also available to auto-populate NLM learning resources on your Web site. The database currently holds all of the resources previously listed on the former Distance Education Resources Web page. https://learn.nlm.nih.gov Dr P Vyasamoorthy 30 Gruhalakshmi Colony, Secunderabad 500015 Telangana LL 040-27846631 / Mobile: 9490804278 One added advantage of using Google URL Shortener is that you can find out how many times it has been clicked by those to whom you sent it. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
