Dear Friends, I am deeply saddened to hear the passing away of Mr. Dandapani, the former Librarian of the British Library, Bangalore. He was a dynamic, enterprising, and indeed a very popular librarian in Bangalore during his tenure as a Librarian. He had made the British Library almost like a "Talk of the Town". When I was working with the British Council Library, Mumbai in the 1980s, I used to meet him frequently and could notice his leadership qualities and remember his ever smiling face and caring attitude. With his demise, the LIS profession has lost one of the admired librarians. I pray God to give his family members enough strength and courage to bear this loss. May the noble soul rest in peace.
