National Union catalogue on Web
by Rekha Mittal 30 Apr '09

30 Apr '09

National Union Catalogue of Scientific Serials in India (NUCSSI), the first indigenous database created at NISCAIR (erstwhile INSDOC) is now available on web. It can be accessed at www.niscair.res.in/nucssi. NUCSSI helps in locating serial holdings in S&T libraries of the country. This is integrated with e-mail for routing library/ user request information. NISCAIR has taken up the job of updating the database with the cooperation and support of participating libraries to provide information to users free of cost. Login based access has been given to libraries for validating/updating the holding information of new journal titles added and old journal titles discontinued/ deleted in their library. S&T libraries may register for adding their holdings to national union catalogue. ----------------------------------------- This email was sent using NISCAIR's web mail service.
