Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------- Job title: *Tagging Associate – Media Lab* *About the Media Lab* The IIHS Media Lab is a platform that engages with questions around the urban via multiple media practices. The Media Lab’s vision is to build a culture of research, teaching and pedagogy using the audio-visual medium inside and outside the classroom. In a rapidly changing complex world, the Media Lab has created a space where the use of images and sound can be a way of understanding the urban milieu and creating new forms of knowledge production. This is in keeping with the mission of the proposed IIHS IOE of being an interdisciplinary institution where different disciplinary methods are used to address urban challenges. *Job Description* IIHS is looking for a tagging associate (initially on a 11-month contractual engagement) to anchor activities related to Media Asset Management (MAM) within the Media Lab. The associate will help execute and improve the key service delivery processes of data management (DM) throughout the Media Lab and ensure that data assets are tagged according to protocols set by the institution. The role will involve evaluating, tagging, administering and maintaining data assets of the media lab and other IIHS partners. This is a contractual position for an initial term of 11 months, renewable on mutual consent. *Activities and Tasks* As a tagging associate, you will be responsible for the Media Lab’s knowledge management infrastructure, operations of MAM software, understanding of taxonomy, tagging framework, rules and guidelines, adhering to compliance requirements, and dealing with various user groups and the solution provider. Your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: - Tagging media assets and documents in various formats, indexing, searching, data protection, IP protection, process compliance, and similar functions as needed for an educational institution; - Contributing to the delivery of all aspects of the Media Lab’s MAM infrastructure and services, including archiving, tagging, searching and maintaining digital assets, both legacy and latest ones, as per the MAM operational guidelines; - Minimising risk by adhering to the Knowledge Management (KM) policies and controls for data management, data security and data protection, data storage and retrieval, accessibility to users, and helping conduct periodic audits; - Working with different functional stakeholders and ensuring they use the MAM software as per the framework and guidelines defined and agreed; - Reporting, analysing, and resolving system, stakeholder, and operational issues that impact service quality; ensuring that stakeholders’ questions and problems are resolved effectively and quickly; - Helping improve the support experience quality results by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes, establishing and communicating service metrics, monitoring and analysing results, and implementing changes; - Helping use and create knowledgebase articles based on new product information, support incidents, and/ or common or critical issues; - Implementing process optimisation, improvements and modernisation initiatives where appropriate; - Helping identify process inefficiencies and compliance issues, and implementing strategic solutions; - Participating actively within the Media Lab and KM teams, providing feedback on current day to day activities, and recommendations for improvement; - Providing support to other IIHS activities including academics, research, practice, training, operations and others; - Participating in all activities of Institution-building at IIHS; carrying out tasks as assigned by IIHS; and travelling on IIHS work within the country as needed. *Structure and Reporting* The tagging associate will be coordinating on these services and deliverables with the Lead – Media Lab and will be working closely with the Information Technology (IT) and Knowledge Management (KM) leadership. *Person Specification* - A Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Information Systems or Library Science, with 1 to 3 years of work experience, including a minimum of 1 year in tagging or related knowledge management activities ; - Knowledge or hands-on experience with the operations, administration and support of the Media Asset Management, Digital Asset Management and similar solutions; well-versed in current tagging trends and taxonomy; - Excellent in process compliance and details orientation; - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the Institution, including with the senior management; - Ability to influence relevant stakeholders for the consistent usage of MAM software; - Ability to handle changing priorities, deal with ambiguity and use good judgment in stressful situations; ability to take on-time decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness. This is a contractual position for an initial term of 11 months, renewable on mutual consent. This offer is on an exclusive basis, which implies that other professional assignments (whether compensated or not) that bear a potential conflict of interest with IIHS cannot be undertaken. Budget 2023 - Libraries for Children and Adolescents

*From the Budget Speech* *National Digital Library for Children and Adolescents * *33. *A National Digital Library for children and adolescentswill be set-up for facilitating availability of quality books across geographies, languages, genres and levels, and device agnostic accessibility. States will be encouraged to set up physical libraries for them at panchayat and ward levels and provide infrastructure for accessing the National Digital Library resources. * 34. *Additionally, to build a culture of reading, and to make up for pandemic-time learning loss, the National Book Trust, Children’s Book Trust and other sources will be encouraged to provide and replenish non-curricular titles in regional languages and English to these physical libraries. Collaboration with NGOs that work in literacy will also be a part of this initiative. To inculcate financial literacy, financial sector regulators and organizations will be encouraged to provide age-appropriate reading material to these libraries. *Fiscal Management* *Fifty-year interest free loan to States* *1. *The entire fifty-year loan to states has to be spent on capital expenditure within 2023-24. Most of this will be at the discretion of states, but a part will be conditional on states increasing their actual capital expenditure.
