Mentoring support is available to young researchers and authors from developing countries. All submitted papers are reviewed and edited by senior editors. We will take care of content enhancement and language editing. There is no fee for editing and language correction services. The Centre for Library and Information Management Studies (CLIMS), Sir Dorabji Tata Memorial Library, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, is a major centre involved in capacity building of LIS professionals. It offers PGDLIM, MLISc and PhD programmes in Library and Information Science discipline with a focus on digital libraries, knowledge organization, library automation, electronic resource management and web-based information services. TISS is pleased to announce admissions for the 15th batch (2024-25) of the "Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Library and Information Management (PGDLIM)" programme. This cutting-edge, one-year dual-mode programme uses contact classes in the computer lab (2 weeks in each semester) for on-campus sessions and the Moodle e-learning platform for off-campus sessions. The course also includes a field work component worth 8 credits, consisting of supervised placements in various digital library environments. It aims to create trained manpower to handle digital libraries, archives, data management and electronic resources. This programme will equip librarians, academics, archivists and researchers with digital library and information management skills to play a larger role in their organizations. Friends, Canada is coming up with a wonderful (open access) digital library. Please see: https://internetarchivecanada.org/2024/07/01/internet-archive-canada-launch… . We in India did make some efforts, witness the Million Book project (spearheaded by Pfof. 'Balki' Balakrishnan of IISc ) and the national digital library at IITKh. Commendable as these are, we are nowhere near what we need to really have. Prof. Robert Darnton, historian and former librarian at Harvard, wrote and spoke about the origin of the Digital Public Library of America. That is the kind of digital library we should aim for in India. That could also double up as a national level repository of all our scholarly output, past and current. Europe has Europeana. Help in website content management systems including data access, integrating data from various back-end services and databases. Should also ● Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs and develop/maintain proper software documentation for the website updates and management. ● It will also be important for the candidate to maintain the archive and manage digital content on web platforms for creating visibility and ease of access and assist in preparing long term and short-term plans, policies, implementing and reviewing the same from time to time. ● Keep up to date with the emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities of web development. ● The candidate will be a part of a small but dedicated team of Institute library staff and will be required to work on other jobs assigned by the Librarian/Library Advisor from time to time. ● The candidate should be highly motivated, result-oriented, and keen to learn new information and technology skills required for developing a state-of-the-art Institute archive portal. 8. Our conference wishes to explore the ways that bibliometrics is being used in the wider academic universe, and to help those who use bibliometric tools to navigate that universe. We particularly welcome proposals aligned to the overall theme, but also on other administrative, organisational, and especially ideas on practical sessions related to bibliometrics. We are interested in the following sub-themes: - Bibliometrics and research integrity - AI and bibliometrics - Measuring research culture & open research indicators - Open research impact - Democratizing data - How bibliometrics and scientometrics tackle societal issues and global issues (covid-19, climate change, etc.) However, we welcome all interesting ideas within our theme, and so have an open sub-theme for those who feel their idea doesn’t clearly fit into those outlined above. *Submission guidance* The deadline for submissions is *Tuesday 23rd July 2024*.
