Dear Library Professionals: I deeply regret to inform you that one of our esteemed friends Shri G R Deshmukh, passed away on 7th November,2020 at Nagpur. He served at Central Soil and Water Conservation Research and Training Institute, ICAR, Dehradun for about two decades and shifted to National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning, ICAR, Nagpur from where he retired as Chief Technical Officer (Library) during 2011. He was my colleague at Nagpur and took over charge of the Library and Documentation Unit after I shifted to RRI, Bengaluru. He was a wonderful person and an excellent library professional. He continued to develop library activities with a modern approach. I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and our prayers for his noble soul to rest in peace. Dr.Y.M.Patil Retd.
