Adobe is to offer an online service called Adobe Document Center than enables users to store PDF, Word and Excel documents online and selectively share them with others. Furthermore, you can grant and revoke access to the documents at will. The files are security-locked, and the people you want to access them must first have downloaded either Adobe Reader 8 for PDF files or a 'lightweight' plug-in for Word and Excel. Significance of the work: The Information Communication Technology (ICT) revolution in the last decade has had a drastic and far-reaching impact on all aspects of professional endeavour particularly in the knowledge and information sector. By the late 1990's when information was regularly disseminated across computers and other electronic devices, information managers found themselves tasked with increasingly complex devices.
