Shielding rights, with IPR Intellectual property (IP) refers to any creation of the mind - inventions, literary and artistic works, symbols, names, images, and designs used in commerce. IPR is a term that covers patents, trademarks and copyright. The modernisation of IP administrations has been accorded priority by governments across the globe as a strategic response to economic liberalisation and globalisation. IP is divided into two categories: Industrial property, which includes inventions (patents), trademarks, industrial designs, and geographic indications of source. A patent is an exclusive right granted to an innovator for a fixed period of time when there are claims for protecting the innovation from being copied. Trademarks are related to a name, logo, symbol etc., used by any legal entity, an individual or a business unit to uniquely identify its' products or services. Industrial design can be a shape, configuration or pattern including colours related to visual design of any industrial or consumer product. Google introduces handwrite search for mobiles, tablets Google has introduced a new way to search - in mobile with a touch-screen or in a tablet. The new feature enables one to search just by writing on the screen. Typing on a mobile keyboard can be a pain while travelling. Precisely clicking on the letter can be an arduous affair even when we are in a hurry. Google search's new feature does away with the keyboard totally. Once enabled, the user can write anywhere on the screen using the finger or stylus. Google captures what has been written and inserts it on the search bar. In a Blog post on handwrite Rui Ueyama, Software Engineer, says: "Handwrite enables you to search by just writing letters with your finger almost anywhere on your device's screen - there's no keyboard that covers half of the screen and no need for hunt-and-peck typing." To enable handwrite for web search, go to Google.com in the mobile browser, and tap on settings at the bottom, enable handwrite and save the settings. Once the feature is enabled, you can go back and write anywhere on Google's search screen.
