Dear Members, As many of you would have observed, of late, LIS-Forum discussion list was behaving bit erratically. One of the main issues was that, the approved messages were taking more than 3-4 days to reach the members' inboxes! I have now installed a latest version of the discussion list software (Mailman) on a different computer system with better hardware configuration. Hopefully, the list should resume its normal functioning. Its quite likely that a few of the approved postings from the old system, which is now off the network, may not have been distributed. If you have made a lis-forum posting during the last week, or so, you are welcome a make a fresh posting once again. He is a Technical Member (representing USA) on the Expert Panels of ISO (International Standards Organization), American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and MIMOSA (Machinery Information Management Open Standards Organization, USA).Lakshmi has over 350 publications to his credit and has won over $8 million in research funding. Presently Narasimhan is a full professor at the Computer Science Department at the University of Botswana, Botswana. Lakshmi is also a Vice President at to Srikar & Associates International Pty Ltd. His current research interests are in: Software Engineering (testing, visualization, instrumentation, product line engineering & CBSE), Information Engineering (business informatics, medical informatics, mobile systems, information management, information extraction & information fusion) and Computer Architecture (embedded system, reconfigurable computing & performance analysis). Narasimhan is a Senior Member of the IEEE, ACM, Fellow of ACS, IEAust and IEE (UK). He is a Technical Member (representing USA) on the Expert Panels of ISO (International Standards Organization), American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and MIMOSA (Machinery Information Management Open Standards Organization, USA).Lakshmi has over 350 publications to his credit and has won over $8 million in research funding. Lakshmi is also deeply associated with the ABET and other accrediting bodies (e.g., NBA of India) that are involved in improving the quality of education around the world. He superannuated on 31st May 2018 as Dean and Professor, School of Library and Information Science, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar after serving for more than 35 years of dedicated service as a librarian, administrator and a great teacher. He devoted his entire career to the library profession and its development. Prof. Muttayya M. Koganuramth* was born on 1st June, 1953 in Ichhangi village in Savanur Taluk, Haveri District, Karnataka State. He obtained his Master of Library and Information Science in 1984 from Karnatak University, Dharwad with First Rank and Gold Medal and was awarded prestigious TCTP Fellowship to pursue MSc in Information Management at Sheffield University, England. He completed his PhD in 1995 from Karnataka University, Dharwad. He worked at premier universities like National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and provided a dynamic leadership to these libraries. He was instrumental in setting up of cyber libraries in both Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi which have become model for others to follow. He was the architect of establishing LIS department at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar which started offering PG Diploma in Digital Library and Information Management programme, M.Lib.I.Sc <http://m.lib.i.sc/>. and Ph.D programmes in Library and Information Science. One of the best ways to acknowledge the untiring and dedicated contributions of Prof. Muttayya M.
