Problem with the circulation of certain LIS-Forum mails

Dear Members, This is to bring to your attention that there is some technical problem with the mailman software (used by lis-forum) with respect to the distribution of postings/mails made from certain email ids. The problem is that postings made from certain emails ids, upon their approval, gets distributed only to those who have subscribed to lis-forum in the 'digest' mode. They do not reach the mail boxes of those who have subscribed to lis-forum in non-digest mode. Two such recent mails are: 1. Dr. IRM Goudar's mail with the subject, E-Content: Taxation and Regulatory Norms - Symposium approved last Saturday and archived copy accessible from http://ncsi.iisc.ernet.in/pipermail/lis-forum/2013-June/015148.html 2. Dr. Shalini Urs' mail dated 11 June with the subject, ICADL 2013-paper submission deadlines- just around the corner Approved 11 June, accessible from http://ncsi.iisc.ernet.in/pipermail/lis-forum/2013-June/015137.html The two messages listed above, would have been received by all the members who have subscribed to lis-forum in the 'digest' mode, but others who have subscribed in the non-digest mode would not have received. I'm not sure since how long the problem has been there but I'm sure that several of the approved messages are reaching only sub set of lis-forum subscribers. I'm looking into the problem but can't say for sure as to when the problem would be sorted out. Socio-cultural background and purposes attribute to knowledge diversity. As an asset, diversity of knowledge could lead to projections of semantic correlations, bias and opinion mining. 'Living Knowledge' (LK) [EU FET project] considered diversity as an asset and aimed to make it traceable, understandable and exploitable, with the goal of improving navigation and searching in very large datasets. About Speaker: Dr Devika is an Associate Professor at the Documentation Research and Training Centre of the Indian Statistical Institute and Adjunct faculty at the Department of Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Trento, Italy. Pipe seems to blend the best of two worlds that dominate Internet traffic: bit torrents and social networking. In an infographic published in March, Intel decoded “what happens in an Internet minute” in which it revealed that in a minute, the Internet transferred close to 639,800 GB of IP data across the globe. And as for data security, files transferred via Pipe never pass through Facebook servers, instead travelling directly between the connected users with the help of unspecified Adobe technology. Dear Vikas, It seems you have qualified NET , then why are u so worried to do your M.Phil, whereas u can go for PhD directly if you are so much interested to do research. After all doing M.Phil after qualifying NET has no meanings otherthan adding qualifications to your CV. I think hardly any universities in India are providing M.Phil through distance mode any more. Rest about updating your knowledge you can update further by self learning through several means. And still if you would like to pursue M.Phil then being a Govt employee there is a provision of study leave under CAS(Career Advancement Scheme) you can avail that by taking due permission from your authorities. Unable to circulate book in SOUL 2.0

Sir/Madam We are using SOUL 2.0 and all books are entered in the software. Unfortunately, a book is showing as "on hold" in STATUS when we have tried to issue the book. So in that case neither we are able to issue the book or delete the record. As a result, we are facing the problem of circulation as the book has great demand and the number of books are very less in our library.
