FYI ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: LIBLICENSE <liblicense(a)gmail.com> Date: Tue, Jan 3, 2023 at 9:16 AM Subject: India-wide subscription to research journals paves path for Global South To: <LIBLICENSE-L(a)listserv.crl.edu> From: Ann Shumelda Okerson <aokerson(a)gmail.com <asokerson(a)gmail.com>> Date: Sat, 31 Dec 2022 10:15:25 -0500 India’s “One Nation One Subscription” (ONOS) policy has garnered plenty of attention. India’s ONOS model, first called for in 2017 by the Indian Academy of Science and drafted into government policy three years later, calls for a centrally negotiated subscription deal with publishers, making scholarly articles free to read for all researchers, eliminating the need for individual and institutional subscriptions. The collective bargaining power of the entire nation is expected to allow greater value for money. " [SNIP] https://www.eastmojo.com/national/2022/12/26/india-wide-subscription-to-res…

Here is the complete book of 18 pages of the comic book Kashtanova. Looks fine, I can not imagine it was produced by AI !! I wish to remind you that AI itself is a product of the human brain only. There are self learning mechanisms built in and therefore one day it may outgrow our expectations / limitations! Yesterday I saw the movie Endiran - story of a robot that destroys itself in the end as the robot realises it has started having feelings / emotions! OpeAI ChatGPT
by Dr. Sandeep Bhavsar 22 Dec '22

22 Dec '22

Respected All Greetings !!! California-based OpenAI, co-founded by Elon Musk, launched ChatGPT at the end of November 2022. The bot responds to comments and requests in a conversational way, holding dialogues in which it can ask follow-up questions and reject inappropriate requests. ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered chatbot that creates surprisingly intelligent-sounding text in response to user prompts, *including Research paper writing, homework assignments and exam-style questions*. The replies are so lucid, well-researched and decently referenced that some academics are calling the bot the death knell for conventional forms of educational assessment. *Explore the Research Questions with OpeAI ChatGPT * https://chat.openai.com/chat Generate an outline for a research topic – (write your research topic here and see the result of ChatGPT). Provide a topic and get study notes. Create ideas for fitness and virtual reality games. Create interview questions. Regards Dr. Sandeep Bhavsar Librarian SPM Prin.
