Delegate or Otherwise See - Minute to minute Program Schedule of LTC2019
by Ishwar Goudar 09 Jan '19

09 Jan '19

Dear Professionals/ LIS Teachers, 1. Irrespective of whether you are a delegate for LTC2019 or not , please have a look at the Conclave Website at ltc2019.com to know how qualitative it is in terms of theme and sub-themes, resource persons, program structure, awards, round table and more importantly SPARK (Session for new thoughts by delegates) and many more. 2. The program is very relevant to LIS and other TEACHERS. We may have to add few aspects of eLearning including LMS (Learning Management Systems) in to our MLIS Syllabus. 3. We need to arrange more and more Seminars/Conferences on eLearning as we did for Digital Library. Already our profession is looked down by administrators of Academics and Research. We need to prove relevancy and importance of LIS in the changing scenario. 4. After seeing the details, I am sure everyone, especially LIS Teachers and Librarians will feel that they would miss good opportunity. If you feel so why delay, please register for LTC2019. Please download the schedule from the following address: http://www.ltc2019.com/assets/download_files/LTC2019_Program_Schedule_8Jan.… Regards, Goudar "Access E-Resources for Academic and Research Excellence" *- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -* Dr. I.R.N. When it comes to keeping a journal, stereotypes of Sweet Valley High and Napoleon Dynamite quickly come to mind; "Dear diary" is reserved for the high-school sweetheart or awkward recluse. Others see writing merely as a tool, a pragmatic means to an end, certainly without value in and of itself. But science continues to dissolve skepticism. For those sitting on the fence, these 10 benefits of journaling will convince you to start writing. While a simple solution is to update current business technology to the latest and greatest, business leaders quickly find that this is not a sustainable practice in the long run. The solution for most enterprises is to introduce a digital transformation strategy, which, in turn, is posing a direct threat to traditional business models and companies. Technologies such as social media, mobile applications, analytics, the cloud and the internet of things (IoT), have been successful in attracting and keeping talent and customers. But, it goes beyond changing technology — company culture needs to change. When we asked a number of C-Suite executives what they thought would be trending in the digital workplace over the coming year, 10 trends emerged, many of which had already been identified at the beginning of 2018 as disruptors. Full Post <https://www.cmswire.com/digital-workplace/10-trends-that-will-shape-the-dig…> *Ten reasons to be optimistic in 2019* Even the optimists among us would have to admit 2018 was a challenging year. The fractured world that became the focus of our 2018 Annual Meeting a year ago came under further pressure from populist rhetoric and rising nationalist agendas. At the same time, the urgent need for coordinated global action in areas such as climate change, inequality and the impact of automation on jobs became more intense. It might be easy, then, to take a dim view of our world’s prospects in 2019. But the new year brings opportunities, too; opportunites that - through a combination of innovation and responsible leadership - have the potential to make our societies stronger and our world more sustainable. Some of these opportunities have been made possible by the World Economic Forum’s platform for public-private cooperation. Building on the progress made in the past 12 months, here are some of the bright spots for the year ahead. Don’t Be A Victim Of Cyber Scams!* Cybercriminals are constantly looking for ways to make money at your expense. Individuals and organisations often fall prey to frauds that involve various forms of social engineering techniques, where the information required is garnered from a person rather than breaking into a system. These scams are typical examples of how cyber attackers can easily play on people’s psychology and perceptions. The tips provided here are aimed to help you protect yourself. Awareness is your best defence!
