by MN Seetharaman 02 Aug '11

02 Aug '11

Dear Moderator, I shall be grateful if you could post the following announcement of Curran Associates Inc., New York, who are the world's premier conference proceedings specialists and have been supplying proceedings published by 500 scholarly societies, professional associations and publishers to libraries around the world since 1984. Thanking you, Yours sincerely, M.N. SeetharamanCountry Representative of Curran Associates in India ======================================================================================================================= CURRAN ASSOCIATES INC., REDHOOK, NEW YORK, USA To Our Valued Customers, Published proceedings of international conferences organized by scholarly societies, professional associations and other publishers are considered as vital sources of information about new research breakthroughs, innovations, methodologies and best practices, particularly in the fields of science, engineering and technology. It is only at important national and international conferences that these research findings are reported and debated for the first time long before their formal publication in journals etc. Therefore, conference proceedings have become as one of the most essential ingredients for the success of scientific, technical and academic research and training. For more than 25 years, Curran Associates Inc. has been one of the world’s premier conference proceedings specialists. In recent years, many conference proceedings have shifted from printed format to electronic. Though electronic media provides some advantage, there are many users who prefer print. In order to continue to satisfy our library clients that prefer print, Curran Associates has secured agreements with hundreds of publishers to produce printed versions of conference proceedings from their electronic media. These printed versions are not available from the original publishers. The books are printed and assembled with a perfect bind, using a soft cover (100# semigloss cover stock). They are professional, sturdy, clean, and filled with the same research provided on the electronic media. For an updated listing of all of our titles, please visit our website at www.proceedings.com, where you can browse by publisher or by thirteen different categories. Please check back from time to time, as we are continually adding new titles. We look forward to continuing our relationship and working with you to satisfy your unmet needs for printed conference proceedings.
