It is for the first time in India that the Govt. of Karnataka is releasing such library manual which covers almost all the duties and responsibilities in the library staff. Now the manual has become an official document which will serve the official functioning of the library in the college.I take this opportunity to thank Sri Siddaramaiah, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri. Deshpande, the ex-education minister, Mr. Kaushik Mukharji, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Karnataka, Mr. Bharath Lal Meena, Principal Secretary, Dept. of Higher Education, Mr. Chakravarthi Mohan, Commissioner, Dept. of Collegiate Education, Govt. of Karnataka, Dr. Siddalinga Swamy Special Officer (QAC), Karnataka State College Librarians' Association and its members and all the Editorial Committee member librarians for their efforts to prepare the manual in a professional way and to release it.
