GOOGLE LAUNCHES SMS SEARCH SERVICE IN INDIA

Internet giant Google Inc. has launched its SMS or text-based search service for local information such as restaurants and movie timings in four cities in India. The company is offering Google SMS, the text based search for mobile users on beta or test mode in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore, allowing subscribers to get information on local business listings that are indexed on the net by the search engine. ?It is from the same content (on the net),? said Vinay Goel, head of products at Google India Pvt.
