Sad and shocking news of Dr Anand's death

With great sadness and shock, I inform you of the passing of our much loved and respected professional, Dr Ananda T. Byrappa, Librarian, JRD TATA Memorial Library, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Dr Anand passed away Tuesday, 19 July 2022, around 10.45 PM. A valued member of the library team, he will be greatly missed. Please keep Anand’s family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time. Anand’s final rites will be performed today, Wednesday, at 4 PM in Tumukalahalli, Chickballapur Taluk. His residential address is 2nd Main Road, AMS Layout, Vidyaranyapura, Bengaluru. I am sorry and saddened to hear about the demise of Dr Ananda T Byrappa, the present Chief Librarian of the Indian Institute of Science(IISc), Bangalore passed away yesterday i.e on July 19th at 10:45 pm. I worked under his leadership at General Electric Company for 2.5 years and many LIS professionals have accomplished their internships under him. We lost a young and enthusiastic LIS professional.
