Several new initiatives are being taken from time to time to make this library as one of the leading and resource libraries in the area of ICT in the country. The Central Library, IIT Delhi is the Headquarter for INDEST-AICTE Consortium. The IIT Delhi is looking for young, enthusiastic, dynamic and fresh graduates/postgraduates with minimum First Class in Masters in Library and Information Science/Bachelors inLibrary and Information Science/Two years Diploma in Library Science to work as 'Library Internee' for its Central Library. Stipend:Rs.13,000/Rs.11,000/Rs.8,000/-per month (Consolidated) Period of Internship: Purely on temporary basis initially for Six months, on the basis of performance it may be further extended up to One year. Age Limit:26 years (as on last date of application i.e 22nd April 2014) Nature of Internship: Internees will be provided an opportunity to work in differentsections of the Central Library and learn the modern library management techniques andweb based services. The selected candidates will have ample of opportunities to work and learn onemerging IT tools and technologies.Selected internees will require to do shift duty on rotation basis along with other staffmembers. Accommodation facilities will not be provided by the IIT Delhi. IIT Delhi may decide the criteria for the selection of the internees which may include Written-test and /or Interview.
