"The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Govt.of India, looking for fresh MLISc Candidates to be recruited as "Information Management Trainee" (Two Positions) for a period of one year. It is an opportunity for the freshers to work in the totally automated and Cloud based Library environment. Those who are interested to apply need to be from the Library and Information Science Departments of Indian Universities, who conduct 2 year integrated regular programmes and others need not to apply. Using FOSS to add "Ask the Librarian" chat support to your Koha OPAC

Dear all, At the recently concluded National Koha Conclave (Feb 17 - 18, 2016), one of the "Koha Wishlist" items discussed was that of adding a chat facility to Koha. Chris Cormack, the original developer of Koha had replied that the Free Software i.e. Mibew (pronounced as: My-beau) messenger may be used to add the chat capability to the OPAC. Last weekend, I decided to try out Mibew and implement this. I'm happy to report that it has worked out very nicely.
