LTC 2021 which started with pre-Conclave series of lectures beginning November last year is having two know-how rich pre-Conclave workshops this week on the following themes by two experts in the respective domains. The Annual Research Symposium of the National Institute of Library and Information Sciences (NILIS), University of Colombo will be held on 23rd January 2021. This year's event will be organized in partnership with the South Asia Chapter of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T), as an online event. It will be 100% free for presenters and participants. The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Bhuva Narayan of the School of Communication, University of Technology Sydney, Australia. Abstracts of completed or near-completed original research and unique experiences are called to reach us on or before the 10th of January 2021.  It is not just getting published. Putting in archives leads to an addition to the millions. Organized ease of usability comes through journals. Knowledge organisation is the crux of the problem. Dear all, Wishing you all Happy New Year! Happy to share the interview transcript of Ganga Dakshinamurti, a long-time library professional in Canada. With over fifty years’ dedicated service in the library profession in Canada, she has worked in different segments of academic librarianship from college to universities, advocating and practicing information literacy programmes for the effective utilisation of resources. She retired from the University of Manitoba in December, 2015 and is currently a Senior Scholar at the University. In this interview for Open Interview <https://openinterview.org/>, she talks exclusively on information literacy services which she practiced since the mid- 1960s in the Canadian academic libraries. She believes that the basic goal of information literacy is still unchanged irrespective of limited resources in the past and the exponential growth of information sources and tools in the present. She is of the view that there is no foreseeable end to this explosion of information sources and therefore educating the patrons about the effective use of resources is necessary.
