This is a very very shocking news to all of us. A great loss is occurred to us , we all cannot forget his contribution in this field. It is still fresh and green in our memory while he addressed us in Infosys annual library seminar last year in the month of June . We could learn a lot from him in our profession. Dear All It is not only shocking but also unfortunate that our profession has lost a bright and nice professional like Rajashekar. He had made meaningful contribution to the library profession through his teaching and training initiatives. On the forefront of Digital Library movement in India, Dr. Rajashekar was the bastion of new generation librarianship in the country. For young professionals he was not only inspiring but also a guide to many. May his soul rest in peace and may god give the necesssary courage to the bereaved family members. This is really shocking and un bearable loss to our fraternity. Dr Rajshekar was instrumental in very many initiatives, be it academics, research or the industry. I still remember the starting days of NCSI (1983) with Dr Raj, Harish, tulsi, Kapaleaswaran, Seena & others . Both NCSI and Dr Rajshekar grew to great heights, complimenting each other's strengths & success. It will certainly create a void and wd take a long time to come to terms. Our respectful condolences to his family both at home and work. ( Will someone give more details of the unfortunate incident / accident ?) Hello friends It is shocking news for the whole library community to loose such a pioneer in the field whose contributions are great!
