Institutional Repositories - Aggregation?

Hi, I was looking for a source that may list all the institutional repositories across the world including India. I could not find one. If there is one, please do let me know. We witness quite a few institutional repositories across the globe including India in the last few years. However, the number of articles archived are not very encouraging particularly in India. This is one problem. The other problem is that there is no comprehesive listing of archives that exist today. Even if there is one, searching across archives is another issue. In order to promote the OA, we may have to do the following: 1. Promoting the concept of OA and its benefits in our own organisation ( - aggressively being carried out by Prof. Subbiah Arunachalam and others so that more archives can be setup. More people must join them). 2. Populating the archives that are already setup -- is a very difficult task. There needs to be continous efforts in pursuading the research and academic community for this. 3. A Common aggregated database of all the archives that will harvest metadata from the individual archives and provide a common search interface. May be the individual archive can register with this common aggregated database with harvesting details. This will also enhance the reach out of OA articles. Just a thougt. Thanks. M. Context-based Software Language

A new software language may give computers better comprehension of what their human operators mean. Most people understand instructions well enough to carry out simple tasks. And more complex tasks can be handled when clear instructions are at hand. Computers lack the range of conceptual understanding that humans have, and must be programmed in exacting detail to carry out specific tasks. Researchers working at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, along with researchers in France, Germany, Japan, and the UK, have developed a context-based language. The language, released as ISO 18629, has manufacturing environments as its focus. Process planning, validation, scheduling, and control have been mentioned as processes suited for the language. Researchers developing the language programmed in almost 300 concepts like "duration" and "sequence." A computer programmed with this language will function like a rudimentary artificial intelligence, acting on a word's meaning. It will also be able to understand sequence words like "before." Software vendors will have to wait for final ISO approval before they begin designing systems and solutions using the new language. In what could prove to be a challenge to online services such as Reed Elsevier's LexisNexis and Dow Jones' and Reuters' Factiva, Yahoo Search Subscriptions is launching with initial content from just seven sources. Subscription services that have signed up with Yahoo include ConsumerReports.org, The Wall Street Journal Online, TheStreet.com and The New England Journal of Medicine. In the coming weeks, Yahoo plans to add content aggregators Factiva and LexisNexis AlaCarte.
