More on the UK's eBank project Liz Lyon, Adding value to open access research data : the eBank UK Project, a presentation at OAI4, the CERN workshop on Innovations in Scholarly Communication (Geneva, October 20-22, 2005). Self-archived November 12, 2006. Abstract: This presentation will briefly examine the changing landscape of e-research and data-intensive science, together with associated trends in scholarly communications. In this context the eBank UK project will be described, which is seeking to enable open access to research data generated from an e-Science application, and to build links from e-research outputs through to e-learning materials. The role of digital repositories and OAI-based aggregator services in facilitating the linking of data-sets from Grid-enabled research applications to e-prints through to peer-reviewed articles, as resources in portals and Learning Management Systems, will be assessed. Recent developments from the eBank UK project will be presented with discussion about integration in research and learning workflows and the challenge of assuring long-term access to open data archives. HubMed provides these features : 1.Daily updates of search results via web feeds. 2. Firefox search plugin or a HubMed bookmarklet (drag to your browser's bookmarks toolbar). 3.Export citations in RIS, BibTeX, RDF and MODS formats, or directly to RefWorks. 4.Unzip HubMed's import filter into Endnote's Filters folder for direct import into Endnote, or install the RIS Export plugin for direct import into ProCite, RefMan and older versions of Endnote. 5.Use the Citation Finder to convert reference lists from PDFs into search results. 6.Create lists of closely related papers using Rank Relations, then visualise and browse clusters of related papers using TouchGraph (requires Java). 7.Graph occurrences of keywords in published papers over time. 8.Tag and store annotated metadata for articles of interest. EMPI Digital Library National Convention - 2007

Dear Library Professionals , It gives me immense pleasure to share with you our B-School Group's decade old library building efforts which have culminated in it being re-christened as "EMPI Knowledge & Learning Resource Centre" and identified as on of the best Management Libraries in Delhi and NCR. What started as a common library in 1995 has, as on date, built up a vast collection of information dockets comprising of 23,500 reference books, 150 Journals/ Magazines, 35 National Newspapers, and various CD-ROMs. Added to this are the networked resources of DELNET, thus enabling students and users to access to the networked resources of the DELNET as well as to the internationally acclaimed online database services. Connecting to this vast reservoir of Data and information resources flowing through our Fiber and Wi-Fi 24x7 DEMPI Data Network, every student laptop and the academia, make our campus one of the highest organized modern learning system in Delhi . Currently in order to shear our experience and further buildup on our effort, our knowledge and Learning Resource Centre (Central Library) has taken the initiative to organize and national convention on developing a " Roadmap for Modernization of Library and information Centers in the Emerging Knowledge Era " on 19th 20th March, 2007 at New Delhi under the guidance of the Indian Library Association of India President Dr. Muttayya Koganuramath , who is also the University Librarian, Central Library , Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has agreed to be the Patron of the EMPI Digital Library National Convention -2007. A Comprehensive brochure with the objection, theme, sub -themes and other details is enclosed for ready reference along with the registration form. Further to reach globally we have hosted a domain http://www.empidlnc.org with 2GB reserve space. This website will delicately disseminate all the conventional information to scholars and others.
