The potential of big data analytics also extends to fields such as healthcare, finance, retail, and more, where it is transforming traditional practices. For example, in healthcare, big data analytics can improve patient care by enabling personalized treatment plans and predicting disease outbreaks. This exploration delves into how analytics can identify trends, optimize resource allocation, and personalize treatment plans, leading to more accurate diagnoses and better health outcomes. Advanced Training programme on Bibliometrics and Research Output Analysis

INFLIBNET is organizing a five days Advanced Training programme on Bibliometrics and Research Output Analysis during 2 - 6 Dec 2024. The programme will provide the participants a sound overview of bibliometric methods, Bibliometric data sources, data processing and performance indicators related to bibliometric analysis and mapping. It will provide awareness about the most commonly used database, how to build-up relevant indicators and how to interpret the data. Special emphasis will be given to indicators used in research evaluation. Theoretically imparted knowledge will be consolidated with demonstration on various tools such as Bibliometrix, Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, etc. Through a combination of expert-led lectures, hands-on training, and real-world case studies, attendees will gain proficiency in utilizing bibliometric tools and techniques, enabling them to make informed decisions in research evaluation. Major Topics Following topics will be covered in the training: v Overview of Bibliometrics v Mathematical Foundation of Bibliometrics/Scientometrics v Bibliometrics Tools and Techniques such as Bibliometrix, Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, etc. v Bibliometric Methods for Subject Delineation v Measuring Research Impact v Network Analysis and Visualization v Open Research Data: Access, API and Integration v Advanced Bibliometric Methods for Evaluation, Ranking and Mapping of Research v Bibliometric Indicators and Ranking of University Research Performance v Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science and Elsevier’s Scopus Databases Resource Persons The lecturers are prominent researchers, scientists/professors in the field of bibliometrics. They also have extensive experience with the application of bibliometric analysis in a research evaluation. Venue The training will be conducted in Offline Mode at Information and Library Network Centre, Infocity, Gandhinagar 382007, Gujarat, India. Fee The registration fee is Rs. 6,000.00 (Rupees Six Thousand only) per person without accommodation and Rs. 10,000.00 (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with accommodation which is inclusive of GST rates. It covers the cost of a training programme kit containing training materials and lunch during the training period. The payment should be made through Demand Draft in favour of INFLIBNET Centre payable at Gandhinagar along with filled-in registration form. Fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable.
