Invitation to participate in the 2021 Library Automation Perceptions survey

The 2021 International Library Automation Perceptions survey conducted through Library Technology Guides is now underway. This survey, conducted annually since 2007, provides an important opportunity for libraries to register their perceptions of the strategic automation products they use, organizations that provide these products, and the quality of support delivered. The survey also probes at considerations for migrating to new systems and the level of interest in open source products. While the numeric rating scales support the statistical results of the study, the narrative comments provide even more interesting insight into the current state of library automation satisfaction. Comments will be published in the survey results, though redacted to conceal any text that might identify the individual or organization responding. Please help your fellow libraries who might be in the process of evaluating library automation options by responding to the survey. Any information regarding vendor performance and product quality can be helpful when making strategic decisions regarding automation alternatives. A large number of responses strengthen the impact of the survey and the subsequent report. This survey also provides constructive criticism to the vendors involved to help them address any prevailing issues or concerns. If you have responded in previous years, please respond again this year to help identify any trends regarding improvement or worsening of the products or support services. To date, about 55,500 Indian Institute of Science (IISc) articles have been uploaded to the IISc's institutional repository, ePrints@IISc (eprints.iisc.ac.in). IISc has roughly 62K items in the Scopus database, which spans the years 1908 to 2022. So, the ePrints@IISc repository has a bit more than 90% coverage of IISc publications. In terms of full-text inclusion in the repository, it's somewhere between 80 and 85 percent. Complete bibliographic listing of all papers published by the authors affiliated with the institution during their tenure? 2. Or, full-text for all papers with bibliographic description. If the first criteria of the measure are #1, I can say the IR of the Indian Academy of Science, Bangalore is complete. Francis can say whether IISc is complete by any of these measures? It is hard to expect any IR of older institutions like IISc to be complete by criteria #2 even if the process of author archiving practice is effectively in place. Dear Sir/ Madam, INFLIBNET is organizing a five days *Advanced Training programme on Bibliometrics and Research Output Analysis *during *18 - 22 July 2022*. The programme will provide the participants a sound overview of bibliometric methods, data sources, data processing, performance indicators and tools & techniques related to bibliometric analysis and mapping. It will provide awareness about the most commonly used database*s*, how to build -up relevant indicators and how to interpret the data. Special emphasis will be given to indicators used in research evaluation.
