E-journals link checking 4.*Reference and Information Services* a. Answering to the reference queries received from user groups b. Sourcing out content for various information products In addition to all the above-mentioned activities, they would also need to attend to regular counter duties. They are expected to work in shift system on a rotation basis since our Centre operates from 8 am to 2 am. However, the working hours for professional assistant will be 9 hours per day, 5 days a week and two weekly offs will be given. IMSc Chennai is exploring possibilities of donating bound volumes of Research Journals

Dear Friends, The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc) is an institution of national importance for fundamental research in the areas of Theoretical Physics,Mathematics, Theoretical Computer Science and Computational Biology. It is an autonomous institution under Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. IMSc library is the information backbone of the institute to support academic and research activities. National Board of Higher Mathematics NBHM) has recognised this library as their regional library to promote mathematics education and research. The library is kept open during all saturdays exclusively for academic and research community other than our campus users. About 5000+ walk-in users from various academic and research institutions across the country in a year make use of our library. The library has over a period of time acquired various reading materials for research both in print and online. This includes research journals, books, databases, thesis and dissertations etc. In an effort to extend support for government institutions that are in need of information resources for their academic and research activitiies, the IMSc authorities have decided to expolore various possibilities of donating the rich collection of about 35000 printed bound volumes acquired over the last 50 years for which we have online access available. This will also help in optimum utilisation of available library space. The list of bound volumes available for donation is given below: 1. FOSS Innovation Fellowship Programme

FOSS Innovation Fellowship ProgrammeIn order to leverage the objectives of ICFOSS towards propagation and development of Free and Open Source Software, Applications are invited from Graduates/ Post Graduates/Diploma (having at least one year experience in FOSS ) to encourage young talents having interest in the new initiatives of FOSS, by engaging them as Fellows of ICFOSS after a selection process. This is a flagship programme of Government of Kerala towards promotion, innovation and propagation of FOSS initiatives across the State. The aim of the programme is to enable the young FOSS enthusiasts to collaborate with ICFOSS in their endeavor to materialise their innovative ideas and also to provide contributions in FOSS initiatives of common interest. *Guidelines* 1. The fellowship application shall consists of Applicant details such as educational background, achievements and accomplishments, areas of interest and expertise and Post Fellowship Agenda. 2. There will be no registration fee for application. 3. Age should not exceed 30. 4. It is desirable to be a representative of an existing community engaged in FOSS/OSH activity. 5. The applicant should provide a brief post fellowship agenda (of not more than two pages) of his/her plans after the fellowship since the fellowship is offered as a precursor activity for a long term goal which could be higher education, entrepreneurship or a job. 6. The Fellows are expected to work on a full-time basis for the Project in the ICFOSS office during the period of engagementunless otherwise the activity demands so . They shall submit a monthly report of the progress of the project to the reporting authority, not later than 5 th of every succeeding month. 7. A fellowship grant of *Rs.20,000/- *per month shall be paid to an active Fellow on completion of every month. Those who fail to submit the monthly progress report of the project will not be eligible for the Fellowship grant. 8. A maximum of fifteen Fellows may be selected for this programme, subject to their meeting the eligibility criteria. 9. A selected fellow shall assist the programmes of ICFOSS like Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, Projects, internal assignments etc. 10. A selected fellow shall participate in the programmes suggested by ICFOSS for their self development. 11.
