About Speaker:
Chris Kluiters started his career at Elsevier. From various roles in
marketing hebecame responsible for the commercial licensing in Europe
of Elsevier's e-journals to academic and corporate libraries. The
first licenses to organisations such as Tilburg University, The Dutch
National Library, The British Library, British Telecom and ICI (now
AstraZeneca) were agreements where different elements and clauses need
Elsevier Asia-Pacific offices from Singapore, rolling out the
ScienceDirect licenses. Upon return to The Netherlands he was managing
director for EMBASE and had operational responsibility for building
SCOPUS. The last eight years he has worked with Springer, now
SpringerNature. He was responsible for the e-products licensing to
corporate and health libraries around the world. He participated in
various working groups with the Pharmaceutical industry on licensing
for Tekst- and Datamining.
