Selection Criteria: There will be up to three winners who will be selected by a panel of judges including: Maqsood Shaheen (IRC, US Embassy Islamabad), Alma Rivera (Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad de México), and, Fatih Oguz (University of North Carolina at Greensboro). The judging criteria will be based on: Submissions will be judged on such criteria as quality of content, significance for theory, method, design, education or engagement, originality and level of innovation, and quality of presentation. Eligibility & Information for authors: Only papers by a principal author who is a citizen of, and resides in a developing country are eligible. The winners in the 2009-2013 contests are not eligible. The papers should be original, unpublished, and submitted in English. We encourage submissions from librarians, information and network specialists, and educators involved in the creation, representation, maintenance, exchange, discovery, delivery, and use of digital information. Award: The award for each winner is a two-year individual membership in ASIS&T. In the case of multiple authors, the principal author will be awarded the ASIS&T membership. Hello Everyone, I am searching to add Z39.50 Servers of Indian Libraries in Koha. I have searched Google and found none. Is anyone of you aware of Z39.50 Servers provided by Indian Libraries. The INDCAT service of INFLIBNET is also a Union Catalog, but there doesn't seem to be any available Z39.50 service for the same. Can any one help me in this direction? Deshapande Endowment Lecture (13) is being organized by the Prof.K.S. Deshpande Endowment Lectures Committee, Bangalore, in collaboration with the Department of Studies in Library and Information Science (MyDLIS), University of Mysore; and Mysore Librarians and Information Scientists Association. The lecture will be held at the MyDLIS on 5th May 2014 at 3 pm. In this connection an essay competition is held for BLISc, MLISc, MPhil and Regular Ph.D students of library and information science in India. The best top three essays will be awarded with cash prize and a certificate. The topics with terms and conditions for the essay are as follows: a) A student shall write an essay on any one of the following topics: K.S. Deshapande: The Man and the Librarian Public Libraries of India in Prospect Do libraries wither away? b) A student shall write one essay only.
