Common mistakes to avoid while going for a job interview

eWEEK.com carries an item entitled "10 Avoidable IT Interview Flubs" <http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,2011169,00.asp> . I think such mistakes should be avoided for all types of job interviews. 1. Late to the interview means late on projects and deadlines 2. Lack of enthusiasm means you don't care about your work 3. Little to no company knowledge means you lack research skills 4. Inappropriate dress translates to inappropriate work 5. Too negative is too much: Spells P-R-O-B-L-E-M 6. Arrogance or dominating the interview signals conflict on teams 7. Too quiet means you lack confidence in your work 8. Misstating qualifications means, well, you're a liar 9. I would like to draw attention to a blog item: "Building the next generation library catalog" by Eric Morgan at http://litablog.org/2006/09/01/building-the-next-generation-library-catalog "..How will we, the library profession, build the "next generation" library catalog, and to what degree will the process include vendor support and open source software?.." Morgan argues that library community should exploit open softwares to develop the catalogues itself without any vendor support. Of course "We can built it ourselves." --Sukhdev Singh, NIC.
