The Hong Kong Library Association 50th Anniversary Conference The Hong Kong Central Library 4th and 5th November, 2008 Conference on "Looking Back, Moving Forward:Asian Libraries in the World of Information". The conference focuses on the key issues and challenges which face libraries in Asia today. The main themes covered by the conference will be: 1.. Asian Digital Libraries 2.. Library Professional Development in Asia An abstract of approximately 500 words is to be submitted together with contact details to the HKLA 50th Anniversary Conference Secretariat by Friday the 23rd May 2008. All applicants will be notified by early June of the acceptance of their paper, and full papers will be required for submission for inclusion in the Proceedings by the end of September.
