Conference on "Looking Back, Moving Forward:Asian Libraries in the World of Information".

The conference focuses on the key issues and challenges which face libraries in Asia today.
 
The main themes covered by the conference will be:
  1. Asian Digital Libraries
  2. Digitisation, Preservation and Conservation Initiatives
  3. Libraries, Learning and Language
  4. Library Buildings and Learning Spaces
  5. The Internet, Social Networking, Web 2.0 and Libraries
  6. Learning Technologies and Libraries
  7. Issues in Library Management
  8. Library Professional Development in Asia
 
An abstract of approximately 500 words is to be submitted together with contact details to the HKLA 50th Anniversary Conference Secretariat by Friday the 23rd May 2008.

Abstracts using the attached form can be submitted by email to Ms Venia Mak, Honorary Secretary, HKLA, at ymmak@ied.edu.hk or by mail or fax to the address listed below. All applicants will be notified by early June of the acceptance of their paper, and full papers will be required for submission for inclusion in the Proceedings by the end of September.
