Dear Colleagues, K.N. Raj Library at CDS would like to implement the CD-Rom Server facility. In this connection, may I request for the following information from those who have implemented the same. What are the steps involved ? Does CD-Rom Server mean only a large storage server where we can sapture the image of CD-Roms? Or is it include an user interface also for capturing the metada and permissions? Can we use DSpace or any similar digital library solution to provide access to the contents of CD-Rom Server? Also please provide the details of best hardware and software for implementing this, and prominent vendors. Any other details arising out of your experience in implementing the CD-Rom server solution, that will be helpful to me. Thanks in advance. Regards, V.
