We no longer get to see or hear of them. What happened to those brands? Did they die a natural death? Or did they fall prey to the liberalization gates opened by India in 1991? It would be of great interest for the firms and the academia to know and dissect your perspectives on what happened to those brands along the way. Some of the brands that we may well be aware of are Dynora(TV), Carona(footwear brand, Did liberty, Bata, Nikes and Reeboks eat it up?), Canada Dry ( Beverage, Despite being similar to Sprite and 7 up we don’t see the brand in supermarkets anymore while the sprite and 7 Up continues to live.), Kelvinator, Moti soap etc. The multitude of perspectives that we may get would help us build our repertoire of knowledge on mistakes committed by those brands that were well established for the times and learn from them.
