
The journal Informatics Studies is a peer-reviewed international journal published quarterly in English and promoted by the Centre for Informatics Research and Development. The journal has now entered into its tenth year of publication and select issues are accessible at: informaticsstudies.org. The journal focuses on –Information Infrastructures, Knowledge Management, Institutional Repositories, Digital Library/Archive, Cloud Computing Solutions for Libraries, Unicode, Multi-linguality and Interoperability Issues, Thesauri and Ontologies, Semantics, Metadata and Retrieval, Resources Discovery Solutions, Online Resources Usability Issues, Open Access Initiatives, OAI –PMH, MARC 21, Consortia, IPR, Information Literacy, Training and education of Professionals, Performance Measurement and Metrics, Setting Service Quality Standards etc. It has print and online versions. Informatics Studies proposes to bring out the third special issue of its series on Heritage Informatics in April 2023. We invite papers for publication in the special volume on Heritage Informatics in Vol. 10, Issue (2) April-June 2023. The volume will give stress to different aspects of cultural heritage information systems. Following are some of the areas to be covered, but not limited to. Digitization, Policies, Guidelines and Architectural Designs Challenges of Preservation of Cultural Heritages Users of Cultural Heritage Information Cultural Tourism, Tourism Management, Tourism Education, Sustainable Tourism Cultural Heritage Tourism and Visitor Experience Management Digital Photography Digital Cultural Heritage/ Digital Cultural Archive Digital Humanities Digital Copyright Human Information Behavior Information visualization, seeking and retrieval in the digital cultural heritage context. Tools and techniques for preserving, conserving and promoting CH Social, environmental and economic sustainability aspects of culture, heritage, architecture, tourism, cultural heritage, CHIS and services. Any aspects of data management, interface design, human information interaction, ontologies, metadata, data models, linked open data, controlled vocabularies, semantic technologies, interoperability, classification, language processing, discovery tools, development of cultural heritage information system etc., in the digital cultural heritage context. Papers are to be uploaded to the journal site. A copy can be sent by e-mail as MS Word file attachment. Papers for publication in volume 10 (2) will be accepted upto 25th February 2023.
