MMB is part of the worldwide network of the Goethe-Institut Munich and promotes German language and culture abroad. The library provides comprehensive and up-to-date information about Germany. Responsibilities: * Implement the new concept for library and information work in cooperation with the Regional Institute in Delhi * Convert the collection profile * Develop and maintain new library services according to the needs of patrons * Provide information services about Germany * Introduce new library software for cataloguing and circulation * Market library resources and services to target groups * Organize events to promote collection and services * Plan and monitor library budget * Evaluation of library performance (reports, statistics) Requirements: * Master's degree from an accredited library school * Minimum of two years professional experience * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English * Good knowledge of spoken and written German language and culture an advantage * Competence in using new technology as a research tool * Profound knowledge of computer applications * Strong commitment to public service * Initiative, flexibility, and strong ability to work in a team environment * Organizational skills are a must Remuneration in accordance with the MMB salary scheme and in commensuration with qualifications and experience.
