Dear All, Dr. P Y Rajendra Kumar, is a retired Director General of National Library of India in Kolkata. Before being appointed as the Director General of National Library Kolkata, he worked in various capacities in Department of Public Libraries in Karnataka <http://www.business-standard.com/search?type=news&q=Karnataka>and retired as its Director in 2008. Post retirement, he worked as Administrative Consultant at the Southern Regional Centre of theIndira Gandhi <http://www.business-standard.com/search?type=news&q=Indira+Gandhi>National Centre for the Arts in Bangalore <http://www.business-standard.com/search?type=news&q=Bangalore>for 18 months. He, then joined Asian Fab Tech Ltd in Bangalore as an Advisor and served for 18 months. Dr. Rajendra Kumar has also won several awards including Aryabhata Award, Indira Priyadarshini Award, Ranganathan-Kaula Librarian Award, Government of Karnataka's Best Librarian Award and others. Now by considering all his achievements, Dr. P.Y.R is selected for “ROTARY VOCATIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARD”. The award is initiated by the prestigious Rotary group and it will be giving away by H H Dr. Sri. Sri. Shivakumara Swamijigalu of Siddaganga Math Tumkur on 01.08.2015 during the inauguration of Pustaka Samskruthi Abhiyana at Tumkur. Let us join and congratulating him.
