*Vacancy for Library Professional Trainees **2018-19*
*The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGn) library
https://www.iitgn.ac.in/library.htm is looking for young, dynamic, tech-
savvy, highly motivated and committed FRESH Post-Graduates in Library &
Information Science from recognized Indian universities with consistent
good academic record to serve as Library Professional Trainees purely on a
temporary basis for one year.*
* Essential Qualifications: Masters in Library & Information Science
(M.L.I.Sc http://M.L.I.Sc.) or equivalent with First Class Nature of
Traineeship: Learn while you work on different functions & services of the
library. Duration: The duration of traineeship will be for one year from
the date of joining. Remuneration: Consolidated stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per
month. The selected candidates will work from Monday-Saturday (six days a
week) and be ready to work in different shifts and weekends on rotation
basis. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the written
test & interview. Selection of candidates will be based on their consistent
good academic record, performance in the written test & personal interview.
Number of Trainees to be admitted: FIVE Age Limit: Not exceeding 26 years
as on 14th July, 2018 (the date of test & interview). Relaxation for SC,
ST, PD and OBC category candidates (Up to Age Limit-31 years) & OBC (Up to
Age Limit-29 years) will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
Interested candidates who meet the above mentioned requirements may send
their application through ONLINE form by 13th July, 2018 and directly come
for the written test & interview without waiting for a call letter. The
written test will be in English. Candidates are requested to bring with
them the certificates (original & one set of photocopy) in support of date
