Dear Friends, First of all, please do not take it personal. But this reminds me once again the serious problems with the conventional academic publishing model. Author is asking for his own paper and ready to pay. If the author himself is not able to see his own paper, what are the chances of his paper seen by his peers? Had the authors retained their (own) paper with (own) rights to self-achieve, this problem would not had occurred. No wonder few days back Harvard faculty voted to make their articles openly accessible. http://www.news.harvard.edu/gazette/2008/02.14/99-fasvote.html "You Write The Papers, You Review the Papers.. Why Should You Pay to Read Them?" -- plos.org - http://www.plos.org/downloads/plos_cartoon001.jpg Time to think again? Isn't Open Access the answer? --Sukhdev Singh, NIC.
