National Seminar on Access to Social Science Information | February 7 – 8, 2007 Organised by Department of Library and Information Science Vidyasagar University Medinipur – 721 102 West Bengal Though for a long time Social Science has been accepted as Science in the learned society, still it could not attract the same amount of attention as in case of Natural Sciences. So happened in case of Social Science Information also. As yet the pertinent features of Social Science Information have not been delineated. Consortia are primarily concerned about Natural Science journals only. There is a paucity of Social Science Information available digitally. Traditionally the libraries working primarily on Social Science Information do not find its due budget for its smooth functioning. But it is felt that the Social Science Information has not only made a significant contributions to the society but also it has a great impact in generating the information in the field of Natural Sciences. At this juncture, our department deems it necessary to organise a two-day National Seminar on Access to Social Science Information. Call for Papers We invite articles on the following sub-themes.
