Dear LIS Professionals, I would like to know the different between the 1. pre-print and peer-reviewed Journal Articles. 2. published Journal Articles. 3. Open Access Journal Articles. dear colleagues In a nutshell, as I know.... Preprint - Author's manuscript / article sent to the publisher for publication Postprint - Article accepted by the publisher for publication Reprint - A printed copy of article as appeared in the journal, given by publisher to author Eprint - preprint / post print / reprint Open access article - article that anybody can access free of cost at publisher's website / other sources Peer-reviewed journal - the editorial board of the journal gets the article, sent by authors, peer-reviewed (examined by subject-experts) and then decides for publication. Where there is no peer-review, the editorial board decides whether the article can be accepted for publication. sincerely shanmuganathan On 12/22/09, fatima abedi <fatima.abedi@gmail.com> wrote:
