========================================== LRC BEST GLOBAL WEBSITE AWARD 2005 ========================================== Only 2 Weeks Left to Enter
Make sure that your company does not miss the opportunity to shine!
The LRC Best Global Website Award is the original prestige award aimed at finding the web's most innovative website in relation to multilingual and multicultural issues. If your company website caters for a minimum of 3 languages, is regularly updated and shows excellent quality at all levels of design then it may be eligible for this award.
On the Internet, websites need to be increasingly customised, or localised for foreign markets, taking into account local language issues, business or social standards and aesthetic preferences.
In recognition of both the innovative work being done to make websites globally competitive but locally relevant, and the importance of this still emerging digital market, the European Union through the Localisation Research Centre created the Best Global Website Award in 2003. The purpose of this award is to find Europe's most innovative website in relation to multilingual and multicultural issues. In 2005, it is once again sponsored by Euro RSCG Interaction.
This award invites those who have designed and or are operating a multi-lingual website to submit their work for consideration. Websites will be judged on a variety of different criteria by a panel of academic and industry experts.
The recipient of the award will benefit from a raised profile and media exposure while the localisation industry will benefit from the award by using the winning site as a benchmark standard for other globalised websites to aim for.
For more information and to enter this award visit www.bestglobalwebsiteaward.com or contact the Localisation Research Centre at LRC@ul.ie.
This Award is sponsored by Euro RSCG Interaction.
The website is available in English, Czech, French, German, Greek and Spanish.
Closing date for submission is 12 August 2005
