Dear Professional Colleagues, The Library, Documentation and Information Science Division of the Indian Statistical Institute is going to organize a Lecture-cum-Seminar on "Role of Social Media in Libraries" to be held on 6 March 2017 (10:30 AM – 5:30 PM) at the Institute premises. This event will be organized in memoriam of Dr. Eugene Garfield, founder of the Institute of Scientific Information and pioneer in the field of citation analysis. There will be a mix of lectures and interactive sessions with eminent experts in the field. Interested students and professionals of LIS may submit their filled-in registration (free of cost) duly forwarded to organizing coordinator at <tkmisi07@gmail.com> on or before 3 March 2017. However the participants will have to bear the travel cost of their own. A total of forty participants will be considered on first-cum-first-served basis.
