The essential qualifications are: (i) Doctoral degree in Agriculture or any branch of science/social science/communication relevant to agriculture including relevant basic sciences. (ii) At least 5 years experience as a Scientist in the pay scale of ‘16400-20000 (pre-revised) or in an equivalent position. OR An eminent scientist/Professional having proven record of scientific contribution/working in a reputed organization/Institute having at least 18 years experience in communication management/science writing/editing and S&T communication. (iii) Evidence of contributions to communication management/research / teaching / extension education as supported by published work /innovations. Desirable: (i) Specialization/experience in publication/information Dissemination/S&T communication /editing/management including experience in a senior position in a media/publication/public relations organization concerned with dissemination of scientific and research knowledge through print & electronic mode.
