UGC Inviting applications from Indian University/College teachers in Humanities and Social Sciences subjects for a visit to Paris under Indo-French Social Scientists Exchange Programme for the calendar year 2006. The Indo-French CEP has a provision for the deputation of University/Institution/College teachers in the discipline of humanities and Social Sciences to carry out research in identified areas. Under this programme the University Grants Commission provides to and fro international air-fare to the selected teachers and the French side provides maintenance allowances up to 1700 Euros per month. The Scholar would have to meet all expenses on boarding, lodging and local transport from out of the above mentioned maintenance allowances. The University Grants Commission has identified the following areas of research, i.e., Economics, Political Studies, Linguistics, Sociology, History, Philosophy, Cognitive Sciences. Besides these priority areas, other fields are also open for joint or individual research. The duration of the award may be for a period of 4 to 6 weeks.
