Sadly, at our national level nothing is done to save these great instutions which have served for years and years providing literacy to the community. One must not forget the pioneering efforts of Prof. S R Ranganathan and his concept of Mobile Libraries many many years back. A great visionary. I am attaching a relevant picture.
