Dear All, The 4th annual convention PLANNER-2006 (Promotion of Library Automation and Networking in North Eastern Region - 2006) was held 9-10 November 2006 in Mizoram University, Aizawl. It was organized by the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre, Ahmedabad as parent body in collaboration with Department of Library and Information Science, Mizoram University, Aizawl. PLANNER - 2006 got overwhelming response from the professionals. 220 registered participants from 19 states of the country and few pioneer professionals were attended it as special invitees. In two days deliberations, six technical sessions, with pre-convention tutorial on Dspace with panel discussion and interactive discussions among participants and experts were major highlights of the convention. The convention was devoted to "Digital preservation, management and access to information in the Twenty First Century" with various key sub-themes.
