dear professional it is very shocking news that a non-LIS person appointed as Director-INFLIBNET. which is total injustice to LIS professionals in the country. At one hand the essential qualification shows that the person from relevant field. however the appointed person is from Statistics, which is not relevant field . the whole profession is disturbed from this decision. ILA is taking it so seriously. we are taking the appointment to meet the honourable Minister of HRD in this regards.the name of INFLIBNET in it self says library network. I request the all professionals, state association that we all should oppose this decision. ILA is representing against this appointment. All professional opposing the same in social media it should also be opposed in writing to authorities, Honourable PM, UGC and other bodies.
