Dear friends, I am happy to learn that AGM of Karanataka State Library Association has been convenede on Saturday, 9th July 2005 at 4.00 pm at Granthangana, City Central Libary, RPC Layout (Near last RPC Layout Bus stop), Vijayanagar. KALA being apex state level LIS Professionl Association we need to attend this meeting in large number and make the meeting a success and more meaningful event. There is a need to look at the meeting with a broad and true spirit to fulfill the aspirations of peers who have nurtured KALA all these days. The entire Govering Body and members need to be active not just the key office bearers. There should be good coordination between various LIS Associations atleast at state level. We have to set up a Web site of KALA with all details and links to other LIS Professional Associations within and out side the country. It is my personal request to all members of KALA to attend the meeting and give useful suggestions and elect competent Governing Body representing all sectors like Schools, Colleges, Engineering & Medical colleges, Universities, Institutions, Corporate Bodies, etc. It is my feeing that participation should be by all regions of Karnataka and also out of state and not just Bangalore based members.
