Dear Members World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated on April 26th of every year to raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trademarks etc., impact on daily life and the contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe. On the eve of IP day celebration CSIR-NAL has organized half day event (Key note address and panel discussion) on “Intellectual property rights for scholarly communication: Copyright, Plagiarism, and Fair Use” on 23rd of April 2015 between 2PM – 4PM at Dr. Valluri Auditorium, CSIR-NAL. Objective of the program is to create awareness about Copyright infringement and plagiarism concepts among Authors/Scientists and library professionals. Key note lecture will high light issues related copyright, plagiarism and Fair use. Panel discussion will comprise of experts representing Author, Editor, IPR, Publisher and Librarian perspective. Event registration is free and open to all library professionals. However participation mail to shivaram@nal.res.in is mandatory because of security reasons and arranging visitor’s pass. Participants are advised to carry their identity cards.
