The theme of the conference is focusing on the landscape of scholarly communication, which has undergone tremendous change over the last two decades adding more dimensions and complexion to it. It has thrown a great challenge for library and information science professionals to manage dynamic online resources. Similarly, it is equally critical for policymakers to evaluate the research contributions contributed by researchers in peer-reviewed journals and various other sources using metrics and trending tools. In the past, IoS has organized seven conferences in a series from 2012, which were proved to be great contributors to the knowledge of metrics and sharing new ideas on various quality indicators to measure science. It is the 8th conference under this series, we wish to continue this trend by way of contributing newer ideas to the landscape of research metrics and scholarly communication.
