All, A easy to use tool to "transliterate" from English to Indic languages is available with koha. One can type in English and convert the words and phrases into five Indian languages: Hindi Kannada Tamil Malyalam Telegu This makes finding records cataloged in Indian languages easier. You can view this feature at the Delhi Public Library website: http://delhipubliclibrary.in/ To turn on the feature, press "ctrl+g". Type a word in english and press space to transliterate. Select the destination language from the drop down list. Some examples of transliteration: Dilli ---> दिल्ली Hamesha --> हमेशा Trivandrum --> തൃവണ്ട്രും Bangalore --> ಬ್ಯಾಂಗಲೋರ್ Telugu --> తెలుగు Tamil --> தமிழ் I want to thank Mr. Basaraj Talikoti at DPL for suggesting this enhancement.
